installation problem

I installed qtp 8.2 in my system. it was installed with out any error. but after that I couldnt open it.it's just showing add-ins page and vanishing.windows xp service pack 2 is OS.help me plzzzzzzzz

Do you have firefox installed on your system?

If yes, check in Firefox: Tools--> Add-ons that QTP is not installed as an addon. if it is then uninstall it from there.

Hi Ankur,

The above behavior is only true with QTP version 8.2, isn't it? I have QTP9.2 installed and verified on FireFox -Tools--> Add-ons shows QTP 9.2 plugin. I didn't have any issue opening and running QTP9.2 on my system. Pl. let me know if i have to un-install QTP 9.2 plugin from there as well.

If you're using IE7 you will run into that problem because IE7 does not compartible with QTP 8.2. YOU will need to uninstall the IE7 then your QTP 8.2 will work.
