Hi,
I installed QTP10.0 in client machine(OS:Windows7), After i installed successfully i opened QTP. After I opened QTP, when i click on anything on QTP like File,Edit, Record etc..I am getting error as "QuickTest Professional has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correrctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. with 'Debug' and 'Close Program' buttons displayed in pop up window.
Its very urgent, Could you please help me on this.

do you have admin rights on the machine,try disabling the UAC.

Thanks for your response Saket.
I disabled UAC, but still i am facing same problem. Can I know whether QTP10.0 supports Windows7, 64K bit.

Yes, QTP supports win7 64-bit. If possible, try re-installing QTP, after cleaning up the machine.

I have the same issue and I followed the steps you guys provided... any other thought? I even turned off Windows firewall....

What is the IE version that you are trying to use? If it is IE9, do you know if QTP10 supports IE9?

Even i am facing the same issue..
i tried for a crack of QTP10..after it displayed, it'll check for the license..but after that it is not working..
i uninstalled and re-installed that but of no use.
using windows 7, ie 8.
it was working fine initially.
Please throw some light.
what should i do?

hello, even though i am facing the issue as above i dont what is exactly problem. actually i getting error is like "QTP has stopped working window is checking for a solution to the problem" after few seconds it will closes the window.
i am using windows 7,64 bit OS, QTP 10.0, i have installed patches, switched off the UAC, i have did as per above instructions no use.
anybody help me out from this situation
