QTP 9.2 not able to record scripts in Vista (32-bit)

I have installed QTP 9.2 on my laptop that has Vista 32-bit installed. However when i try to do a recording ,QTP does not generate any script.
I have checked using the object spy that QTP is able to recognise the objects....yet no script is being generated. Please help.
