I am using QTP 11.0. I can record windows applicaiton (flight reservation) just fine. But when i record web applicaiton(yahoo), nothing is being recorded on the test.
for settings:
I have 'record for any open browser under web tab in record and run settings window'.
I checked to see BHO is enabled. It is checked.
I turned off UAC by scrolling down from top to bottom.
Once I click Record in QTP, then I launch IE, i get the error:
Internet Explorer has stopped working......
do not worry. The problem is not related to QTP. It is the problem of Internet explorer End the process of IE by opening Task Manager and the process name is iexplorer end it by right clicking and select End Process Tree do that and open the browser again. This step will solve it because it some time happens

I did this then restarted the machine. i dont get this error. Now i am not able to record. Once i click the web app(yahoo) nothing is being recorded.Expert view stays blank. i can record windows app just fine.
Please help.
Testing in IE9/win7
I got the error message again. It is so inconsistent behavior. Now again I am stuck with the same error. (IE has stopped working).
