recording script in QTP 11

Hi,
I've just installed qtp 11.......but can't record any script at all.......i m trying to record a random sie using google.......but in the expert view its showing windows instead of browser & showing only close option...........i m a step by ste newbee....i would appreciate if some1 can discuus it step by step........thnx
