Window instead of WebPage

Hi, I am new to QTP. I installed QTP 10.0 Trial version on Win 7 OS laptop.
I had IE 9 browser and when from Tools>object spy, I clicked on Gmail window. Properties was displayed as Window: Internet Explorer and not as WebPage or WebBrowser. I even downgraded to IE8 and still I am facing the same issue. What settings do I need to change in order to get the properties as Web instead of Window??

Hi,

I think QTP 10 won't support IE9, even if it supports it requires a patch to be installed. Because QTP 11 also needs a patch in order to identify IE9.

Hi,

I think QTP 10 won't support IE9, even if it supports it requires a patch to be installed. Because QTP 11 also needs a patch in order to identify IE9.
