We are in process of automating our manual test cases.

Could you please let me know whether
1. QTP can be used as the tool to automate Oracle Forms dowloaded via JRE/Jinitiator.

2. We will be able to start automation without the availability of licensed QTP copies, i.e trial copies available.

1) Yes you can use QTP to test oracle forms. Read on my blog, a post for Oracle do's and dont's

2) You can do a trial for 14 days, if you wish to extend it further you need to contact HP.
