Slow execution of test scripts
#1
Not Solved
Hi all

I am testing a windows application (Visual Basic) in QTP. The application consists of one main form and multiple tabs. The first thing that happens in my script is a selection of the first tab. After this it takes like forever before data is entered in the text fields (about 15 secs). Once data is filled in it goes fast, but each time a tab is selected, it takes another 15 seconds before data is entered in the text fields. One test run takes 2 mins and 28 seconds. Manually it can be done in about 1 minute and 20 secconds.

This only happens with this win app. Im also testing a webbased .Net app which has almost the same amount of data. This test run takes about 20 secs.

Anyone who has an idea ?

hi...
go to file menu >> settings>> run >> object synchronization time out

change the value '20' to '0' your script will definitely run faster
