QTP not recording Web and Windows app together

hi,

i am trying to automate one of our desktop application (windows based). This application has a web part also. Like it can open a website within it.
But QTP only records windows app and not web app part of it.
Is it possible to record both kinds of applications in a single action?
Are there any settings in QTP for the same?
I am using QTP 11.0

Hi ,

Make sure you select 'web ' add-in while launching the QTP , Also QTP does not support the higher versions of the browsers ex: IE9,10 or FF6.

Try to downgrade the browser to IE7 or FF3 , u will be able to record the web part also.
