QTP for Beginners

As a first rule, Search the forum before you post. It is a plethora of knowledge and you will find more if you dig deep.

I know how to use checkpoints in the recorded script.
does anybody of you know how to use checkpoints through manual coding.

Hi Ankur,

QTP is new for me, i knew about the basics of QTP (Record and playback).
But don't know about the Descriptive programming as i don't have an idea of VB Script.
i am scared from coding upto now as i didn't from last 7 years, but i need to work on my fear

Hello, This is an extremely helpful site.
I have, hopefully, a quick question that wont take up to much of your time.

I am not a VB programmer by any means, and would like to know how to properly add stops/pauses in the expert view.
I'm running a web app, that uses SilverLight, and the version of QTP that I currently have does not support this.

the end goal is to record, which I am doing successfully, and then to run the passed script to populate my web app.

My assumption as of now is that, when running the script, it simply runs very fast, without giving the web app time to "catch up" and populate. My thought is to add stops in the expert view, so that I may then populate web app fields.
