Not able to do 'Navigate' and 'Refresh'

Hi Saini,
To Resolve the Navigte issue, We should enable "BHO Manager class" in IE.

Here is the path for enabling the same.

Open Internet Explorer-->Tools-->Manage Add ons->'BHO Manager class' should be enabled

Any clues about how does it work With QTP 11 , IE8 - BHOManager is enabled and yet navigate and refresh statements are not working.

is there a patch to get this working ?

Thanks for the reply. I got this working. One Question I didn't get is what is BHO Manager Class? and why it was blocking the QTP to navigate to the page?

this is what i have tried already -
1) clean reinstallation of qtp11
2) tried these functions on ie8 using two different computers
3) installed following patches - ( i didnt find any patch for my problem though ) qtp_00699.exe, qtp_00709, qtpweb_00037, qtpweb00063

Hi Shreyya,
I am using QTP11, IE8. I did not run any patches which are related to QTP11.
I am not getting Navigate issue in my system now. I will give reply if i get solution.

@Shreyya - Can you try opening the browser from QTP and then try? let me know if it works.

Thanks for replying Saket, and i switched to firefox for all those days.. need to get back to internet explorer now .. i tried to open browser through systemutil.run " <iexplorer path>"

but it is still the same
1) no reaction on browser("").navigate
2) general run error on browser("").refresh

Option 'Enable third party browser extensions' is disabled on ie , could that be the reason ?

Can you please attach screen shot of your application. I need not require your application URL. I want your Application with IE browser screen shot.

I am also facing the same problem. I installed QTp 11.0 in my machine. I am using Windows7, IE8.
I am using descriptive progarmming.
when i am executing scripts navigate is not working in my machine. i do not have any issues in my script.

if any one know the answer please reply.

Your resolution has also fixed my same problem.even after such a long time.
