IE8 is not recognized as Browser

Solved: 11 Years, 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hi all,

just starting with QTP and spending hours on trying to find a solution.

But Im tryng to record a test on IE8 with QTP 10.0 on Windows XP SP3, whatever I do it will record IE as if it is a normal Window and not a Browser.

I have done the following already:
I have closed tabbed browsing.
Ive registered IE as a new browser

And some other things...
What did I miss?
Thanks in advance!
Jasper

Hi ,

HP released a new patch which provides official support for testing Web applications in IE 8.
It includes support for working with IE 8 on all operating systems that QuickTest Professional
supports.

Check in HP Site for more info. on Patch(QTPWEB_00037).
Note: It requires HP Passport SignIn Login credentials.

Install that Patch & try it out once.

Hope it would solve your issue.Smile
