I am trying to open a test that was developed by a different user.

see the attached. how can I resolve that

the physical file for the script is marked as read only. Go and check off the readonly flag for the script and you will be able to open script in write mode.

Close your script if opened in QTP.
go to the directory "C:\Program files\HP\QuickTest Professional\Tests\"
right click on directory "AspectLibrary" and select properties
in the general tab, find Read only checkbox in the attributes sections
uncheck it click OK, open the script in QTP and you are done.
