It was easy one though (After studying for 2 weeks consistently)..
58 questions... 1.15 hours exam...Mainly on Working with objects,QTP general...On its GUI part... For.EG.where do u set Actions with repositories...about looping statements...Run iterations...Objects and Methods...
You get to know the score once u finish the exam but u will get the certification after a month's time...thats what i have heard.

Hi Theju

Exam you can give in prometric centre. As far as coaching centre is concerned , i doubt there are any which prepare you specially for Certification Exam .

I appeared for QTP certification on 25th and cleared with 89%. Let me know if you require any further info .

1. How did u prepare? If we study by ourselves is it sufficient?

2.Please tell me about prometric centre. I searched in the website given in the above post. But I couldn't able to register or fully understand the process. Please tell me about how to take exam in detail. If u have taken in B'lore please give location details of prometric centre.

Hi Deep,

The following is the process to register for AIS (Hp Certification).
One must pass both QC and QTP in order to be certified. The fees are each $150.00.

First you need to get a HP student ID. If you are in US, call 1-800-273-4812. (I do not know abt outside of US).
Second, register and take the test. Good luck !!

1. Do we need to appear in QC & QTP certification on the same day
2. How should I prepare for QC certification,
3. Though I am quite comfotable with QTP but I dont have much idea about QC, kindly suggest me how should i move ahead to get the HP certification which consists of QC+QTP?
4.Has anyone in the forum cleared both the QC & QTP tests?

Yes, I have cleared Quality center v9 (QC + QTP) and Performance center v9 (Vugen + Loadrunner Software).

If you are thorough with User Guide and have some practice with QC, you can pass it.
You dont have to take QC and QTP on the same day. You can shedule them whenever you want.

If I clear only QTP would i be getting any QTP certification from HP?

(Just wanted to confirm, though from the threads in this forum I have already got a feeling that to get certified in QTP it's mandatory to clear QC too), kindly do confirm.
