ALM Integration
#1
Solved: 11 Years, 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I have a virtual machine (VMWare Player) with Windows7 64 bit and I have installed ALM11.0 and QTP11.0. I am now trying to connect the two.

In ALM I installed the connectivity add-in and the QTP11.0 Add-in.
Prior to that I had ensured that I had also downloaded:
MS Visual C++ & MS WSE Runtime

Although it seems I have multiple versions of both after other installatons

When I try to connect from QTP I enter the correct host address and get the error message.

"Failed to update Components from server"
"Following client components were not downloaded successfully:
1. OfflineExecutionSetupWrapper.exe :
Access is denied.
2. OfflineExecutionRA.exe :
Access is denied.
Close all connections to HP ALM Server and try again"

Please advise.

I found some information on the HP support page and tried deinstalling the Add-in, followed by removing the Add-in fron the registry. The support note also recommended removing some folders but I couldn't find those.

After that I reinstalled the ALM add-in and it worked fine. Problem solved
