I was wondering if you have done the below mentioned steps before automating siebel application as this is a normal protocol. Again, if these steps are already done and still you are getting the error, then plz reply back.
1) Seibel Test Automation is controlled by a licence key .We need to enter a licence key before using Seibel Test Automation. It should be applied to whatever environment we are working in. (Wizard Dev or Wizard QA)
2) Seibel Test Automation (STA) Module: It should be installed and enabled on the Seibel Server.
For enabling the STA, the .CFG file needs to be checked/modified.
The [SWE] section of the CFG file should have the following configurations:-
.. [SWE]
EventGeneration=TRUE
EnableAutomation = TRUE
AllowAnonUsers = TRUE
……
We need to restart the server .This prepares the server for Test Automation.
3) The Siebel Test Automation module will be loaded, if we start Quick Test Professional with the Siebel AddIn.For the verification that STA has been enabled 'SiebelAx_Test_Automation_XXXX.exe' process should run as a background process in the task manager when QTP is attempting to record on the Seibel application and 2-3 objects like Outboundxxx should get downloaded in Downloaded Program Files.
4) Append SWECmd=AutoOn token to the URL of the Seibel Server in order to generate test automation information for the Seibel Application. For Example:
http://hostname/callcenter/start.swe?SWECmd=AutoOn
5) In order to check that password has been defined for test automation on server,
Check the .CFG file for the application.
If there is any value specified to the AutoToken switch in the [SWE] section, then that would mean that password is specified for test automation on server.
For Example:
….. [SWE]
AutoToken= mYPass
……..
6) If a password for generating test automation information is defined on the Siebel Server, you must also indicate that password in the URL (in addition to the SWECommand=AutoOn token described above). The URL token is in the format AutoToken=password. For example: http://hostname/callcenter/start.swe?SWECmd=AutoOn&AutoToken=mYPass
