QTP Hangs after "creating results" and crashes an application

I would suggest you to check for any memory leakage in your script while running tests. I don't see much details above but from previous experience can say either your script is not destroying object created at run time or probably you are opening files through the script but not closing them properly. [I assume your machines have enough RAM to run QTP and your application simultaneously]

Since you are using QTP 10, you can make use of the new internal feature of 10.0 that allows you to check system resources from inside.
