Hi,
Am not sure if overriding the object's name is possible in QTP.But you can control its default logical name that QTP has to choose.i.e,we can force QTP to name(logical name) objects according to the properties we choose.
For example: you can force QTP to assign "title" property value as a browser's logical name to save tedious task of editing object identification properties for better readability and maintainability.
