Need help retrieving innertext of a link

Hello thanks for the response.
I tried what you had suggested but I get the same result.
msgbox link_GetROProperty("innertext") prints "Next" (which is what I expected)
msgbox innertextvalue prints nothing

Any further ideas with what the problem might be?
The object class for link_item is Link
