I am facing the same issue. After i select the 'QuickTest Professional Setup' in the Installation menu options nothing happens(exception being the first time when i tried this, explained below).
Environment: Windows 7 / admin login.
When i tried the setup the first time, options displayed where 'change/repair HP QTP', 'Fresh QTP installation' & 'Cancel'. I choose 'Fresh QTP Installation' but nothing happened thereafter.
Do you know if there is a registry setting that needs to be manipulated? I didn't find any messages in the event log either.
