Verifying a video in QTP

I need to test whether a video is running. The procedure is something like this:

1. Go to the page containing the video.
2. Find the video on the page.
3. Start the video.
4. Verify that the video is running.
5. Wait a few seconds while it runs, then stop it.
6. Verify that the video has stopped.

I think I can figure out all the steps except 4 and 6. Any ideas?
