How to Survie in Test Field

Hi All...

I am new bie to "LEARN QTP". Even I am new to QTP Tool also. Recently i have started learning Testing Tools(QTP). I am a B.Tech graduated, completed in 2012 from JNTU-Hyderabad.

I left my last job(Network Engineer) in the month of June. Now i am searching in testing(Automation\Manual) filed. I want to settled in TESTING Field. I want try as a experienced test engineer. Is it possible to survive in this field without.??
If i want survive what tools should i learn , whether it may testing tool, management tool or etc, etc...

I am looking forward to your suggestion.

Please Guide/Suggest me.

First thing if you want to settle as a Test Engineer start learning QTP and Selenium these tools are most widely used tools in testing field

Thank you vinod. and i am not aware of JAVA.
so, i am not lerning SELENIUM. I am concentrating on ONLY QTP & Related managemnet tools.

is Selenium manadatory??????
