Hi Ankur,
I noticed that QTP is now being replaced by UFT.

Is the HP0-M47 certification still available?

Or do I have to take a new cert test for UFT?

I am currently using QTP 11.0.

Yes HP0-M47 is still available. I am going to take it probably in nest week. I think I need to take UFT again when it is available.

HP0-M47 was replaced by HP0-M102 which in turn has been replaced by HPE0-M105. Check details here

I am using QTP from the past 2 years, I am interested in doing QTP certification.
Just wanted to know:
1.How to register for it?
2.How should I proceed with my preparation?
3.How much time should be given to the preparation before attempting it?
4.Is it enough to have experience in GUI testing only?
5.What is the certification cost and is there any particular exam date or we can take it whenever we feel comfortable?
6.In case of failure can we take it back? if yes, should we pay the fees again?

>>Registration instructions are available in the member's area once you purchase the UFT Cert mock papers

2.How should I proceed with my preparation?
>>Other than the theory stuff, try to have hands on tool before you attempt the exam. 

3.How much time should be given to the preparation before attempting it?
>>Very subjective thing to answer. Depends upon lots of factor, your past experience, your current knowledge etc.

4.Is it enough to have experience in GUI testing only?
>> The current exam includes API and BPT as well.

5.What is the certification cost and is there any particular exam date or we can take it whenever we feel comfortable?
>>$200. Check the FAQs here


6.In case of failure can we take it back? if yes, should we pay the fees again?
>>In case you fail you need to pay the exam fee again.

I have to test Spotfire using UFT, can anyone suggest using which UFT add-in we can test Spotfire an web application supported by TIBCO.
