Testing web Application that makes AJAX calls
#1
Solved: 11 Years, 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hi

I am working on a web Application which makes Ajax calls, I am trying to use descriptive programming by first identifying the objects during run time and then am trying to read some dynamic text, QTP is not able to recognize no matter the number of unique properties I use. I asked the developer and he said when I click on couple of twisties(to read the text) the application makes Ajax calls and also no matter how much wait time I use it does not help. I am trying to figure out how I can read this text. Can you please give me your thoughts – Thanks

What version of QTP do you use. I know QTP 10 does provide limited support for Ajax. You need to install an additional add-in for Web via Extensibility SDK's that come as part of your original CD or download.
