IE 8 is not responding for recording script in QTP

hi,
can u help me pls, whenever i open IE 8 after setting the QTP in recording mode, IE 8 is not responding at all....... Pls help me in this regard.

Up to my knowledge, IE 8 as of now is not supported by QTP

Hey Guys,

Generally QTP 9.5 does not works with Internet Explorer 8. Still you can work with a simple modification with your QTP Test Environment.

Just turn off the plugin 'ActiveX'(*) before you are going to record something with QTP 9.5 & IE 8. Then start your job.

Hope this will help you.

(*) Assuming your application does not have any ActiveX to test. Otherwise you have to upgrade to QTP 10.0. QTP 10.0 supports IE 8 clearly.
