QTP 10 and Open TextExceed 14 (Humming Bird upgraded Version)

Hi All,

I am getting a strange issue with QTP 10 and Host Explorer for the mainframe application Open Text Exceed 14. Open Text Exceed 14 is the upgraded version of Humming Bird 11, I am trying to launch the Mainframe session window by using the Open Text Exceed 14 host explorer. But any of the QTP launch application methods (SystemUtil.Run, InvokeApplication...etc) are not working.

In fact the host explorer will open only if QTP 10 is closed, but the same code to launch the host explorer is working fine with QTP 9.5.

We found out that the problem is happening when we try to load the Terminal Emulator add-in with .NET addin. So as a work around we are avoiding .NET add-in as it is not required for our app.

Please let me know if you have any other solution.

Hi, 

Is it possible to automate opentext Exceed using QTP/UFT. I have UFT 12.02 version and open text exceed 14 version. But, objects are not recognized by UFT. Is there any addin I need to use?
