web browser application

Hi, i am trying to record a test script for a web browser. It records the operations but displays as window instead of web browser in the script.

Make sure you have opened QTP First before launching your web application and you have web add-in properly loaded.

I have checked both ways, Launching QTP and then web browser & vice versa. But still has the same problem. I have added the correct web application which shows at startup.
I also checked by adding the application in record and run settings but still the same.

Can you please confirm that you have selected the "web" add-in" while launching the QTP.

Hi Kiran,

You just close your application and open it again .I think this will sort out your problem.
