Oracle connection using QTP on differnt servers
#1
Solved: 11 Years, 4 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi,
I am new to the QTP and this is my first post in this forumSmile.

Here is my problem -

I am accessing QTP using CITRIX. There are load balancing servers because of which QTP always gets opened in different server each time you open it.
Now there are scripts which require Oracle DB access and Oracle not being installed on those servers where QTP is, (though it is installed in some different server within CITRIX) so i am not able to connect to it.
Is there any way i can connect to the server in which TOAD (Oracle DB app) is available and start this DB application from the remote server using QTP (which is obviously on different server)?

Can anyone help me in how to solve this issue???

No, I dont think it will be possible. you must have oracle client installed on the machine.
