QTP Compatibility with ERP6.0 [Solved] - Dan`C - 08-21-2008
Hello,
We currently have QuickTest Pro installations at version 6.5 setup with an SAP instance running R/3 Enterprise 4.7. We are planning to upgrade this SAP ERP environment to ERP6.0 (based on NetWeaver 7.0 platform).
Does anyone know whether QTP6.5 is compatible with ERP6.0 or do we have to upgrade to a later version of QTP?

I would suggest you to look up the read me files of SAP-addin which comes bundled with its installation. "Read me" is the best place to get such info.

Thanks for the reply. I have been through the read-me files. The QTP documentation seems to suggest QTP9.5 is required for SAP GUI 710 support. It is unclear what is required for SAP GUI 620 and ERP6.0. The 9.5 readme is the only readme that references a version of SAP kernel greater than 640 (in this case 710, NetWeaver 7 uses SAP kernel 700). The QTP SAP Add-in v8.2 references SAP kernel 640 however I believe some people have had success with this combination.

I have been advised by HP tech support that v6.5 will not work with ERP6.0. I was also told that I would need to upgrade to v9.5 as this is the only version of QTP supported for use with ERP6.0.
