QTP 10 not identifying objects in IE8 on 64 bit OS - Ram2009 - 08-28-2014
Hi All,
I have QTP 10 installed on my machine and webobjects in IE8 are not identified through QTP 10.
QTP: version 10
IE: version 8
OS: windows 7 ultimate(service pack 1), 64 bit OS
Could somebody pls help me on this.

QTP 10 does not support IE8 and Windows 7 directly. You need QTP Patches for that support. Just use the link www.learnqtp.com/patches to download and your problem will be solved

Thanks for the information.
I have installed the path QTP_00644 and re-started the machine and tried to record the script for actions in IE8 but I found that no script is recorded in Quick test window.
Could you pls let me know, any other steps/actions we need to perform post installation of patch!

QTP_00626 and QTP_00644.
Restart System to take effect of the patch installation. If you face the problem again please repair the QTP and start it
