QTP supportability questions - debby_huijin - 05-16-2014
Hi Gurus,
I am doing a feasibility research on the automated testing using QTP. I've got the following questions regarding the environments supported by QTP:
1.Does QTP support the testing of actions embedded in an Excel? I found in QTP 11.00 Product Availability Matrix that Excel 2000, 2003 and 2007 are supported but not for automation (see the attached image). What does that mean? Uploading Excel files of those versions is supported, but automating actions in Excel is not?
2. How can I tell whether an application developed in C++ or C# is supported by QTP or not?

By actions embedded in Excel as mentioned in Question 1, I mean clicking some buttons to trigger certain processing logics created by Macro.
