How to run QTP from QC on a remote citrix instance? - sreekanth - 07-28-2013 I am trying to run a QTP script from QC on a remote citrix instance. Some of my questions: How to give the remote host name assuming that if there are multiple instances of same citrix box? I get an error "“The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password”. How to resolve this? Any other strategy for running scripts on multiple citrix instances? RE: How to run QTP from QC on a remote citrix instance? - ravi.gajul - 07-29-2013 This is caused due to incorrect DCOM-configurations.This error is fixed upon running "Additional Installation Requirements"(found in tool folder of qtp) on the remote host.If you still see the error, you must change the DCOM permissions and open firewall ports. Please see the qtp installation guide ("Modifying DCOM Permissions Manually to Enable Remote QuickTest Execution") that details step by step instructions for the same. Alternatively, the HP Support Knowledge Base provides utilities to assist you in making these changes. For more information, see the HP Software Self-solve knowledge base (http://h20230.www2.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM196144) and search for Problem ID 43245. The Knowledge Base area requires that you register as an HP Passport user and sign in. |
