Go to temp folder path and delete all the files there.
C:\Users\home\AppData\Local\Temp (This is the default temp path where qtp stores the results if you have selected temp location during run)You can copy the location from the dialog box that appears when you click on run in qtp.
Am not sure how file formatt error is in relation with deleting temporary files
It worked in my case.

Regards,
Ravi

Please clear the temporary run results folder.
