QTP 11 and IE9 64bit on Win7&SP1 64bit, QTP does not recognize objects in website - jpalos - 04-06-2011 Hello apologies if this is an old question, I have searched the web and forums but did not find the specific answer. I have QTP 11 (trial) installed on my Wiin7&SP1 64bit OS laptop. I have IE9 64bit running. (also I have IE9 32bit available, both exhibit same problem) I can't seem to record clicks and such on the website - http://newtours.demoaut.com/ seems that QTP does not recognize any objects inside the webpage I have the "Web" add-in selected, and I have record settings set to: open url on record start I have tried "run on any open browser" but this also does not work I was able to get the object repository manager to "learn" the window but once I close the manager it asks me to save the repository, what do I do from here? If I save it, then "associate" it to the current action, all the objects are grayed out, and the test still cannot record clicks on the website I have tried on IE9 64bit and 32bit, and I have tried to run both QTP and IE as admin. I always open QTP first, then either open IE9 myself second, or let QTP open it second. Any thoughts or help? please let me know, thank you RE: QTP 11 and IE9 64bit on Win7&SP1 64bit, QTP does not recognize objects in website - piyusharma2008 - 02-01-2012 Have you got the answer of this Question If yes than pl help me because i am also facing same prob my ID is Piyusharma2008@gmail.com RE: QTP 11 and IE9 64bit on Win7&SP1 64bit, QTP does not recognize objects in website - pangch32012 - 02-14-2012 I am not sure if you have the problem resolved, but I found that protection mode was turned on for IE9 thus preventing QTP from learning objects on IE. After I turned off the protection mode IE crashes every time QTP tries to learn objects. I downloaded patch QTPWEB_00078 from HP website, after installation of this patch the problem was solved.
