QC Project backup - MVChowdary - 03-17-2011
Hello,
We have a requirement to move the QC project from one server to another server lets say server 1 to server 2.
We have limited space on server1 i.e 40 GB and QC project size is 20 GB.
While taking the QC project backup from server 1, it is being created another temp file on Drive C which is whole size of project i.e 20 GB.
It is holding 20 GB size on Drive C till complete backup task.
This is the space concern while taking the backup from on server 1.
Could you please suggestion any other alternate way.

Copy the repository files directly from your disk to the new disk. The QC admin application will show you where your current repository is located. Open the admin application,click on the Site Configuration tab, and find key "BASE_REPOSITORY_PATH". Copy that entire directory tree and all sub-trees to the new location, then update this value in the admin application to point to the new location for your repository.
I think that will do it if you want to avoid using QC's Export Project feature.
