Recording with QTP - annpeter - 01-24-2011
Hi all,
I am beginner trying to study QTP....I have QTP 11 trial version installed in my system.....I tried recording a web application...But it only showed
Window("Windows Internet Explorer").Activate in the expert view area..I have activated web addins and done settings at Automation.Record and run settings.
Please help me!!

Hi,
shut down all the appliactions running in ur task bar, restart qtp and start recording.This will solve ur problem.

Hi..
Same problem for me as well..
I install QTP 11 trial version..
When i tried to record QTP does n't record anything..
then i change Record and Run Settings as well but no luck..
When i click record button and later some time i tried to stop recording..
Stop button is not working.. and can't able to close QTP window as well..
Suggest me what r the supportable OS and IE for QTP 11..
Even i tried to record some thing with Sample flight application.. but doesn't record any thing..
I tried with all Record and Run Settings.. & I launch QTP first and then application.. no luck..

I am also facing the same problem with qtp 11. Where qtp is not able to learn web objects and rather it is recording all the other broswer window objects like yahoo tool kit and navigation bar. I am using window 7 professional and IE 8 for this task.
Can you please let me know, what can be the issue
