Adding Objects to object repositary - anbarasu - 10-23-2009

Hi,

How to add objects to the object repository before application exist.

Hi,
Either you can add the objects using their pre-defined properties(micclass, name, tag, etc.) in a expected hirarchy,
Or you can use pure DP.

Hi,
1.Launch the QTP Application
2. Open Object Repository (Ctrl+R)
3.Open the testing application, i mean the objects which displayed on the application
4. Click the "+" next to "Binacular Icon"
5. Show the had icon (ex: if it is a user name show the editfield of this by using hand icon)
6.Click [Ok] to add the default objects

this is the way u can add number of objects to object repository....

U mean adding by the option add objects to local option.... and whats DP....

DP means Descriptive Programming. Where you can create the objects instead of adding them in object repository.

Hi Venkat,

I think Ambarasu has asked to add objects before application exists, I guess that means application is not there and the user wants to add objects in the repository.
In this case what Manabh has suggested, should work.

Hi Ambarasu,
In such situations u have to use Descriptive programing , sorry for misleading...
