QTP10.0 Test Results - Pallavi - 07-28-2009
Hi Ankur,
We were using QTp9.2 these days and now we upgraded to QTP 10.0. I executed one of our script and found that there is a difference in the test results display. I have provide the details in the attachment.
In our script we use Reporter statements to write bigin step and end step statements to the results. So under Action1 node Begin_step1 statement displays followed by the operations and validation results in the window and then End_step1 statement displays under the same node that is Action1 node as shown in the Fig1 in the attachment. This was very easy to review the run results.
When i executed the same test using QTP 10.0, The results did not display as it used to display in QTP9.2 and earlier versions. In the test results, the tree nodes are the windows in which we do operations and validations.
Under Action1 node, Begin_Step1 statement displays but to see End_Step1 statement we need to expand the first 'Microbiology Result Entry' node as shown in the fig2. Then Begin_Step2, End_Step2..... Begin_step4 and End_Step4 reports display under the Microbiology Result Entry node as we do some operations in step1,2,3,4 in the same window(Microbiology Result Entry). In QTP 10 we observe that in the results the tree nodes are Windows.
This is very difficult to review the run results. Please let me know if there is any way to get the results displayed(in QTP test results window) as it used to display in QTP9.2.
