Issue: cannot create checkpoints - incite1321 - 07-22-2009
I am having issue with not being able to create checkpoints in qtp. When I open the Insert>>checkpoints menu tab, the only available options for inserting a checkpoint are XML checkpoint and DB checkpoint. All other checkpoint options -- which i would like to use -- are simply greyed out.
Why might this be? How do I correct this problem, so that I can use checkpoints?

Ah, found out that apparently you must be in recording mode to set checkpoints. Hope this helps any other new qtp'ers out there.

HI incite1321,
I think you got the point that we should be in record mode while trying with checkpoints. Database and xml check points are expectional we can use them even with out record mode on.
Let me know if you need any more info.

Hi,
Click the recording button , then only the checkpoints are enabled.
Database and xml are checkpoints always in enable.
