so without qc we cant able to open those scripts right?

Hi,
Yes, to open the script saved in QC u must connect to QC first. There are addins to connect to QC via QTP use them, ur problem will be resolved.

Hi,
1)First install the addin required to connect to QC.
2)Navigate to File->Quality centre connection.
3) Enter the details like QC url, username & password, domain & project.
Once done u are connected to QC.
If u don't have addin, google it u will find it very easily.

Hello,
qc is connected to qtp. now i want to run those scripts which are saved in QC and i want the results path to be the mapped to QC (dont go for descriptive and all).

Hi,
When your QTP and QC are connected, open the test script via qtp which is saved in QC. Add that same test script in ant test set under Test Lab in QC and then try to run the script. It will definitely work.
But before this please close the qtp and open it again.
I had tried this at my end and successfully overdone it.

Hi Friends,
Kindly let me know whether the "WritePrivateProfileStringA" have impact on "C" drive name....
because the current name of the c drive is "osdisk". i am getting erroe while executing the function related to WritePrivateProfileStringA

I have seen all answers why you need to modify the registry key setting when there is an option in the QTP to set default path.
Goto Tools -> Folders -> Click on + icon -> Click on dots icon
