whether QTP is suitable for performance testing

Hello to Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I had doubt whether QTP is suitable for capturing time? Briefly we can is it suitable for performance testing? If so, what are main factors we need to care them. Anybody can provide suggestions on this one?

Basically we can capture time for the steps you do at AUT, in that sense we can say that it can used for performance test upto that limit only, not completely.

You can use QTP for time recordings.
But which kind of the performance measurements you are doing?
Are you using SAP-APO system or R/3 System?
