i read that UFT 12 supports only replay feature for Google Chrome but i'm able record and replay both...can anyone clarify??

UFT 12 does not support chrome latest versions but UFT 12.01, UFT 12.02, UFT 12.05 supports latest chrome browser. If you need update just check the below link
