Scripting API Server not enabled error

Hi,

I am trying to record SAP GUI transactions in QTP. I am receiving "Scripting API is not enabled on this server. To record and run tests with QTP you must enable this option" error message while trying to record.

I checked both client and server side of SAPGUI. Scripting is enabled on both sides. SAPGUI version is 720 and QTP version is 11.

Any help would be appreciated.

How did you fix the problem?... we are facing the same problem but with qtp 10.0...the scripting is installed but we are not able to run or record on sapgui...

Hey on the home page itself, you will see a multicolored icon on the top right side. Click on it and go to script tab. Check the first checkbox and uncheck the subchekboxes.

this problem was fixed because we re-install sap with Scripting option checkbox enabled. (if not, you cant record and execute anything)

It doesn't work, but just don't alert.
