F1 on QTP should help you. Does it not? If not, you must then ask specifically what you are looking as in the tutorial?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that we do not have the QTP tool as yet as we are still in the planning stage to get the tool. Once we have it I can go to F1 and get to the user guide/tutorial I guess. Meanwhile where can I find the basics such as "how to figure out the data elements in Web applications".

You have a 14 day trial on QTP. That should suffice. You can perform all that you need. Infact you can perform a proof of concept and evaluate if the tool is compatible with you AUT.
Let us know if you have any specific question.
