QTP 10 Website Issue

Dear All

I am running through a tutorial at the moment with QTP 10, which i have printed off from the help file in QTP 10. I have an issue with the certificate for the page because when i run the test it opens up https:// newtours.demoaut.com/ which is a broken server instead of http://newtours.demoaut.com/ which is a live website.

I need your advice

Hi,

I guess you can use http://newtours.demoaut.com
"https://newtours.demoaut.com" will required a certificate to be installed as it is supposed to be a secure site.

When i walked through the tutorial i could open up the live website but as i have now come to the point where i am running my progress/results it comes up with the certificate error issue. It automatically goes to the wrong url which is: https:// newtours.demoaut.com instead of http://newtours.demoaut.com. How do i change this in QTP???

Hi,

Go to Automation-->Record and Run settings and on the web tab change to Open the following address when a new record and run session begins to the desired address.
