Please help -Beginner for QTP

Hi!!

I am a beginner to QTP.Can any of you suggest me how I have to start with it. How can I start automating a simple web/window application?And what will be the step-wise procedure for this. Currrently I am just trying to debug the scripts and object repository that I get out of Record and Run facility .

QTP provides good help (F1).

Hi Suchi,

1.First get familiar with the Features QTP has provided.
2. Just record any test flow. For example in Flight application Login , Insert New Order.
This is for one user.
3.Then you can try above test for number of Login. Use QTP Data parameterization feature.
This way you will get familiar with QTP, then try to impelment the Test cases you generally write in Manual testing.Try to vaalidate them with QTP features.
You will come across What to do, how to do this , .....then this Forum is all there to help you out.

Hi everyone, I'm also new to QTP. I spent a few hours looking into videos and completing the flight tutorial.

My main use with QTP will be on applications. Can anyone suggest what else I can look at as well?
