Solved: 11 Years, 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi ,

If a user does not have Microsoft Office but has openoffice,
Then how can he interact QTP with openoffice excel.

Does QTP supports openOffice for importing and exporting data purpose?

Thanks,

There is no special support for OpenOffice as such in QTP.
If openOffice is supported in VBScript, then it can be executed in QTP.

Because OpenOffice is Sun/Oracle product and have different implementation, you cannot use it as you regularly use in Excel.

Below link may helps you:

See the example at the end of the page.
