Objects being recognised as web element instead of Web edit

Hi All

I am new to QTP and was just trying to learn things with one of the web application.
Testbox,Buttons in my web application are being reconized as WebElement insted of WebEdit,Webbutton in object repository using spy.
They are properly being recognized as WebEdit,Webbutton during Record and play back.

please let me know the reasons for this.

What you mean to say is, when you spy using the object spy the textboxes , webbuttons are being recoginzed as Webelement ? While if you record and playback it works fine ?

If so, try this, Close QTP and the application. Open QTP first and then the application. Spy on the object.

Let me know the outcome.
