Object recognition is off - shifting to bottom right

Solved: 11 Years, 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have two identical VMs (one is a clone of the other). Something is wrong with QTP Object Spy recognition in VM1. If i mouse over an object it does not pick up on that object, i have to shift my mouse down and to the right for it to pick it up. Please refer to the picture.

VM2 still works perfectly thankfully - but I would like to reach a resolution for this problem since this may happen to VM2. I have tried to restart the VM but this does not resolve the problem. Another thing to note is that this issue is only happening in my web app - all other sites work perfectly.

any possible solutions?

Hi

Can u check the zoom settings for those webapps on both vms and confirm if both are same. Sometimes when zoom is not set to 100% the objects identification shows objects in incorrect positions like this.

Regards
Anil

hello, thank you for the response - that could very well be a viable cause for this issue - can you tell me how i can check the zoom in qtp?

Hi

the zoom is not for qtp but for the browser you have opened the webapp. check the view option in browser settings is set to 100%

Thanks
