Not able to add any other Checkpoint apart from Standard Checkpoint

Hi,
I am working on a JAVA application and using QTP9.2 version.When QTP is launched all the Plug-ins of JAVA,Active-x,Web,VB have been selected.
I have recorded my script and it also contains statements which check the validity of the object using EXIST ,GetROProperty.Now i am trying to insert checkpoints in my scripts using Keyword view.While adding checkpoints in thsi way i am able to add only Standard Checkpoints.I am not able to add any other checkpoints likeTEXT,TEXTarea,Image,Bitamp checkpoints.
Also while trying to add checkpoints from Expert view ,ie clicking on INSERT->Checkpoints then only Standard ,XML and database checkpoints are enabled and rest are disabled.
Can anyone guide me how to add Text,Teaxtarea,Image/Bitmap checkpoint in my script?

I think you are not inserting the check points in the recording mode.
In the keyword view one can insert only 3 check points mentioned by you as all other can get added only at the recording mode of QTP and in the expert view.

Yes you are right..I am inserting checkpoints in keyword view and not inserting while recording scripts.But now when i have recorded most of my scripts how to ammend them ?Is there any workaround whereby i can add Text/image/bitmap checkpoints at this stage?

Well, work aorund not known to me but it will take lesser time as you just need to record the checkpoints and customize them as per the need.

you mean to say re-record the scripts?

no re record of the scripts.

For instance one can follow following steps.

Step 1. Open the page and text for which you need to add the check point.
Step2. QTP in the recording mode.
Step3. Insert--> Select check point (image, text etc.)
Step4. select the text/ image.
Step 5. customize it.

if u want to inser any check point apart from Standard check point..
all remaining check points insert only under recording mode..
